Biography of DR V K Yadava<
[edit]DR Vinod Kumar Yadava (born 5 july 1952 is the current VICE CHANCELLOR of the INDIRA GANDHI TECHNOLOGICAL AND MEDICAL SCIENCES UNIVERSITY ZIRO, ARUNACHAL PRADESH. Born in a middle-class family in Arya Nagar ,Pahar Ganj, NEW DELHI, he was the fourth of fourteen children born to Dr Bak Krishna Yadava and his wife Shrimati Krishna Devi. He had been in govt job as PLANT PROTECTION ADVISER (PPA) to Govt. of India, Min. of Agriculture, Deptt. of Agri. & Coop. Directorate. of Plant Protection Quarantine & Storage(PPQ&S), N.H.IV, Faridabad . He holds a master's degree in Zoology specialised in Entomology from Aligarh Muslim University UP and Ph.D in Zoology (specialization in Entomology) from Ch Charan singh University Meerut UP.
He is having vast experience of Administration in selection procedure/Research/ Extension/Monitoring and Research Co-ordination of various deptt like Locust Control in India,Rodent Management,Pest Risk Assessment of export/import of agricultural commodities,
Establishment of State Bio Control Laboratories (SBCLs) in India, Central Insecticides Board & Registration Committee, Season Long Training Programmes (SLPs), Involvement in participatory technology development , Special international /national research Assessment , Modernization and pest management activities in India , Training in Fumigation Technology, Organising Kisan Mela and Exhibitions /TV, Radio, Talk etc, Preparation of review reports, proceeding and other assigned duties, Participations in institutional activities / meetings
he has attended ,participated and chaired various national & international seminars,symposium and meetings in india. he has many international visits in Zeneva, Switzerland, Rome /Italy, Messy University, New Zealand, Hong Kong,Bankok/ Republic of Thailand, Guadalajara/ Mexico, Berlin / Germany for International Diploma in Safe & Judicious use of Agrochemicals by Air & Ground application. Launching IPM Programme in India under United Nations Development Programme (FAO). ABD Project. Participation in the Sub-Regional Meetings among Designated National Authorities to the Rotterdam Convention. APPPC Working on Integrated Pest management.seminar/ Symposium related to Plant Quarantine & management of Pest problems. Project on IPM programme & Pest Risk Analysis.
