Assassination Moron is an American animated comedy cartoon written and developed by YouTuber Hunter Scalia alongside Scott Koser. The show existed from November of 2022, up until February of 2023. Where the show was discontinued. The show had 4 episodes that were published on YouTube, and a pilot episode that is not available to the public. The show takes place in what it calls "the white void," which is a play on the lack of backgrounds, and the simplicity of the show's scenery. Since it consists of nothing but a white background. The show's main character, Russel, is a paid assassin that works for his boss, Mr. Dude. The common aspect in the show is Russel's incompetence in his work, and his lack of skill to complete his job correctly.

The show was created after Hunter Scalia and his friends were playing a game with nerf guns, and he constantly missed his shots. He thought of the idea of an assassin who cannot do his job after being yelled at for his terrible aim. The first episode, or the pilot, was created back in 2020 during a time when Hunter was first learning basic animation. Though not publicly accessible, it is described as, "Choppy, and unappealing to watch."[1] According to Hunter Himself. In 2021, Hunter Scalia and Scott Koser came together to work on the 2nd and 3rd episodes of the show, marking the beginning of the two working on animation projects together. With Scott Koser working on mostly storyboard writing, and Hunter Scalia animating the ideas, while helping with the writing to an extent.

Premise

[edit]

The show's main focus is on the character of Russel, who works for his boss, Mr. Dude. Russel is a character who is shown to be incompetent, and unwilling to learn. Every episode feature's Russel assigned to eliminating a specific target. In every episode, he fails to do so. Accidentally hitting someone else entirely.

Due to the show's short lifespan, the characters are mostly flat, and don't have many episodes to expand themselves off from. Mr. Dude is seen as a bossy, and quick to anger type of boss to Russel. While there are technically other background characters, there aren't any others who have any sort of speaking roles, or any sort of relevance in the show other than those two.

Before the discontinuation

[edit]

Before the show was discontinued, the 5th episode was planned to be about Russel having to infiltrate a building but being unable to do so. He tried multiple to get in but ended up failing. Further information on the 5th episode is not known, and the show's last hurrah came in February of 2023. When Hunter silently discontinued the show after complications with its writer and his friend, Scott Koser. Who left the show and later left writing with Hunter as a whole. Leaving the channel behind and going down his own path. The struggle with the loss of a friend and writing and animating the show hit Hunter like a brick wall. Without any announcements, he discontinued the show. Quietly leaving his semi-successful, and only series behind him on February 3rd of 2023.
