Beyond Blocks is a community building platform which specializes in the organization and management of technology conferences held annually since 2017. The company was founded by Saber Aria and is operated by Gabriel Yang. The topics of interest for the conferences is focused on internet technology, blockchain and cryptocurrencies, and attendees range from renowned experts in the industry to newer technology enthusiasts looking to network and learn.[1]
Beyond Blocks runs events around the world including Blockchain World Conference 2017 in Bangkok, and the upcoming Summit Tokyo conference in Japan.
Beyond Blocks co-hosted the Blockchain World Conference in Bangkok with iStack Holdings, the company behind the StackThatMoney affiliate marketing forum.
2018
[edit]Beyond Blocks will host Summit Tokyo at the Westin Tokyo in Tokyo, Japan from April 4 – 5. The event is set to bring 300+ attendees from all over the world, including a long list of experts, CEOs and industry-known figures that will be speaking at the conference.[2]
Currently there are 30+ confirmed speakers for the conference. Speakers such as Founder of Wanchain Jack Lu, CEO and Co-Founder of Quantstamp Richard Ma, CEO of Red Pulse Jonathan Ha and CEO and Co-Founder of bitFlyer Yuzo Kano have been announced. In addition to these speakers, some of the biggest names in blockchain technology will be attending, including Founder of Cardstack Chris Tse, CEO of Eximchain Hope Liu, Co-Founder and COO of Electrify Asia Martin Lim, Co-Founder of NEX Fabio Canesin, Founder of ZILLA Abasa Phillips, Co-Founder and CEO of Kyber Network Loi Luu, Co-Founder of Skycoin Brandon Synth and many more.
2017
[edit]In December 2017, Beyond Blocks partnered up with iStack Holdings and hosted the Blockchain World Conference 2017 in Bangkok. Founder of Beyond Blocks Saber Aria, cited Bangkok as one of the more significant hubs for start ups and blockchain enthusiasts, as the main reason for the decision to hold the conference there.
The full day event held on December 4, 2017 at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok drew more than a thousand attendees from more than 30 countries, and featured a diverse lineup of over 20 international speakers.[3]
The speakers were made up with the biggest names in the blockchain industry, including blockchain engineer and research Preethi Kasireddy, CEO and Founder of Unblocked Helen Disney, Founder of NEO Da Hongfei, special advisor of OmiseGo Thomas Greco, cryptocurrency angel investor Henok Tekle and many more.[4]
Some of the key topics of discussion were focused on “The Future of Blockchain Protocols”, “Disruption & Impact of Crypto”, “The State of Blockchain in China” and “How to Invest in Quality ICOs”.
A number of companies from across the industry also launched their new products or made announcements as part of the event.
