PHM Technology (or PHMT) is a software company based in Melbourne, Australia that provides software for simulating and analysing medium- to large-scale integrated engineering systems. PHMT’s software is a decision support solution designed to simulate functional failures in a physical system and to provide ongoing diagnostics with the intent to ensure optimal reliability, safety and maintainability. [1][2]
PHMT primarily develops and sells a single product called “Maintenance Aware Design environment”, stylised “MADe”. MADe has functionality for modelling and analysing systems [1][3], as well as providing diagnostic, cost and maintenance breakdowns, which its clients use to reduce cost and increase safety. [2]
History
[edit]In 2007, PHMT was selected as an SME partner for the international military technology development project known as the Joint Strike Fighter Program.[4] PHMT has since expanded its business to also include customers such as BAE Systems and Austal. [2][5]
PHMT also licenses its software to academic organisations, such as RMIT University, to aid in research, development and analysis of technologies such as renewable energy. [6]
In 2017, PHMT partnered with Siemens’ product lifecycle management division to facilitate global distribution of MADe. [7]
