[edit]On Oct 7 there was a war between Israel and Hamas.On this day of October 7 Hamas bombed Israelis claimed land. This has been on going fight between Israel and Hamas for many years. When did the bombings started, Isreal was surprised because they believed the iron dome would've stopped the attacks. The iron dome is a military system and it's what stops the rocket from attacking Israel. Since they had that protection, they were really shocked when the attacks came through and terrorized their people

[edit]The whole war started years ago, there has been conflict because when Israeli people came into Palestinian territory, they took over and made it their own space. Since then the Palestinians have broke out in anger and fought back, the problems are also based off the religious differences and political differences.
Hamas claims they are a resistance organization that has come together to claim their territory back. Since the bombing, Hamas took 150 people hostage. Israel thought it would be a good idea to give them Gaza strip as a peace offering. Since Israeli people left Gaza Hamas turned Gaza into a military base. Since this has happened they have been bombing each other's territories. Hamas said if Israelis government doesn't stop bombing the Gaza strip, then Hamas would begin executing each person they have captive, one by one.
Hamas themselves have stated that the argument isn't over land and soil but instead about faith and belief.
Hamas made shocking news to the word- for its suicidal attacks on Israel and retaliation against Israeli attack on Palestinian city’s. Hamas won elections in 2005. Hamas has always been defined as a terrorist group. This book talks about how Hamas was started and gives a different perspective on Hamas.
