SmackDown, Intercontinental Champion (2020-2022)

Upon signing a contract, he would soon make his debut on an episode of SmackDown in October 2020, defeating Drew Gulak, and establishing himself as a face in the process. At Survivor Series on November 22, he would represent SmackDown against Team Raw, ultimately being defeated in a clean sweep.

He would then enter the 2021 Royal Rumble on January 31, being the 13th entrant. He would last about 15 minutes before being eliminated by the winner Edge. On the April 9th episode of SmackDown, he would take part in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, ultimately being unsuccessful as the match would be won by Jey Uso. Following WrestleMania 37, he would begin pursuing the Intercontinental Championship held by Apollo Crews. He would be unsuccessful in capturing the title at Hell in a Cell on June 20. On the October 1st episode of SmackDown, he would brutally assault the new champion Shinsuke Nakamura and his tag team partner Rick Boogs, turning heel in the process. On the November 12th episode of SmackDown, he would defeat Shinsuke Nakamura to capture the Intercontinental Championship for the first time. On November 21 at Survivor Series, he would be defeated by Raw's United States Champion Damian Priest. At the Day 1 event on January 1, 2022, he would defeat Shinsuke Nakamura to retain the title. At Elimination Chamber on February 19, he would defeat Nakamura's tag team partner Rick Boogs to retain the title once again, ending their feud. On the March 11th episode of SmackDown, he would lose the championship to Ricochet, ending his reign at 120 days. On the April 1st episode of SmackDown, he would once again take part in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, ultimately being unsuccessful as the match would be won by Madcap Moss.

Raw, United States Champion (2022-2024)

Following WrestleMania 38, he would take part in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match on July 2, ultimately being unsuccessful as the match would be won by Austin Theory. On October 7, he would be drafted to Raw during the 2022 WWE Draft, making his debut the following Monday with a victory over Akira Tozawa. On the November 21st episode of Raw, he would come to the aid of The O.C. during an assault at the hands of The Judgement Day, becoming a fan favorite in the process. At Survivor Series on November 26, he would take part in a WarGames Match, defeating The Judgement Day alongside The O.C. and Mia Yim, ending their feud.

At the Royal Rumble on January 28, 2023, he would defeat Austin Theory to capture the United States Championship for the first time, entering the Royal Rumble later that same night as well. He would be the 2nd entrant, lasting about 30 minutes before being eliminated by Kevin Owens. At Elimination Chamber on February 25, he would defeat Austin Theory to retain the title, ending their feud. At WrestleMania 39 Sunday on April 2, he would lose the championship to Bobby Lashley, ending his reign at 65 days. At Backlash on May 13, he would be unsuccessful in capturing the championship again after being defeated by Bobby Lashley once more. At Money in the Bank on July 15, he would defeat Bobby Lashley and Austin Theory in a triple-threat match to capture the championship for the second time. At SummerSlam on August 19, he would defeat Bobby Lashley via disqualification after the latter wouldn't release The Hurt Lock, allowing the champion to keep his title. He would hold onto the championship until the November 6th episode of Raw, being defeated by Tommaso Ciampa and ending his second reign at 115 days. At Survivor Series on November 25, he would be unsuccessful in capturing the title again after being defeated by Tommaso Ciampa once more, ending their feud.

At the Day 1 event on January 1, 2024, he would take part in a Fatal 4-Way Match for the United States Championship featuring Seth Rollins, The Miz, and the champion Tommaso Ciampa, ultimately being unsuccessful. He would then enter the Royal Rumble on January 27, being the 21st entrant. He would last about 15 minutes before being eliminated by Matt Riddle. On February 24, he would take part in an Elimination Chamber Match to determine the next challenger to Cody Rhodes' WWE Championship at WrestleMania 40, ultimately being unsuccessful as the match would be won by AJ Styles. At WrestleMania 40 Saturday on April 6, he would defeat Baron Corbin.
