Hanairoha（花いろは）is a Japanese Idol Group. Their concept is "a royal girl group with a pistil of beauty and cuteness". Their name is a combination of the word "hana", meaning flower, and "iroha", meaning "the fundamentals of". On February 24, 2020, Hanairoha was one of the two groups formed from the disbanding group "Wonder Weed". The group belongs to the Limelight production agency. Until October 1, 2021, Hanairoha performed under the name "Hanairoha from Wonder Weed".
Wonder Weed, formed in 2015, was ceasing activity as its own group in order to be divided amongst two newly formed groups. While the other of the two new groups, ”Wonder Weed Ten”, retains the same theme and song library as that of Wonder Weed, Hanairoha was launched as a completely new group, becoming "Hanairoha from Wonder Weed".
Along with the reorganization of the groups, an audition for new members was held in 2020 across all of Japan. As a result of the auditions, 20 candidates were selected[1], 6 of which were transferred to their sister unit, "Wonder Breed" where they performed as temporary members.
Due to the corona virus pandemic the group's debut was extended from March until August 15, 2020.
