Indiana's secondary picked off Herrmann three times, twice by Dale Keneipp and twice in the fourth quarter. Scott Arnett sneaked for a pair of touchdowns, first in the third quarter and then to clinch the win in the fourth. The Boilermakers had opened the scoring with a four-yard run by John Skibinski to cap an 80-yard drive after Jerome King had halted an Indiana drive with an end zone interception. [6]
