Daisy Chepchichir Ruto aka Amara Tari was born on 9th November 1995 [1]in Kericho to Cecilia Ruto ( a businesswoman) and Samuel Tiampati <references/MD Kenya Tea Development Agency>. Amara has an older brother (Collins Maritim). Her early childhood year started from New Zealand because her Mother was running a tea and coffee export business then and she attributes her fluency in the English Language to that. As a child, Amara Tari stood-out and was retained to do TV commercials and Her Mother refered to her as a "parrot", picking up any and all TV commercial jingles the [2] . At the age of 8, while at a boarding school , Amara had her first public singing performance, singing  we belong together by Mariah Carey during the entertainment period in for almost 300 students and that's when she realized she could actually sing.

Amara Tari attended several different schools throughout her life especially from the time she came back to Kenya; from a primary school in Nakuru (I forget the name) to Juja St. Peter’s Boarding School; <references /Consolata Primary School /Braeside High School /and Shree Swaminarayan Academy >}}, in Mombasa for the remainder of her high school ‘O-Levels’. she later took a 2 year gap to figure out what she wanted to do with her life, during which time she settled on music, but went ahead and joined <references /the United States International University of Africa > to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management and Development.

Through her Musical Mentor [3]"and helped her come up with her musical Name; Initially she called herself Days, and Kagwe Mungai suggested the name Amara Tari. The name Amara is a name commonly given to artistically gifted females, and Tari means star / love / ha-tari which is dangerous. Put together you get,A musical force to be reckoned with.

In 2015, Amara Tari with the help of her brother Collins Maritim and a friend Amy Kipingor organised a concert at Cite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page).this year 2020. Amara Tari plays the main role in the series.

Modelling' Amara Tari started modelling at the age of 16 when she participated in her first high school pageant. At 17 she was signed to her first ever agency - Surazuri Models - and soon after landed her first commercial with Coca Cola for their Africa Lets Go Crazy Campaign, which lasted for about a year.

Later she participated in the Mr and Miss USIU- Africa pageant[4], to try push herself out of her comfort zone, which became a stepping stone to her participation in the Miss Universe Kenya 2018 pageant[5], placing in the top 5.she has also done work with brands likeSarova Group of Hotels, Atua Enkop, and the designer SaraKaray

Advocacy' Amara Tari is passionate about advocating for Mental Health because there is a lot of misconceptions and stigma surrounding it. Her interest is to create a system where trained individuals can give back to the homeless - especially children, the elderly, and the injured or sick - in an internship/attachment type of setting.
