Stephan de Kock (born 22 November 1983 - Gabriel Stephanus de Kock) is a South African professional tennis coach and former collegiate player. He is known for coaching several top ATP and WTA doubles players, including Raven Klaasen, Michael Venus, Rajeev Ram, Dominic Inglot, Oliver Marach, and Ben McLachlan.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]De Kock was born in Pretoria, South Africa. He attended the prestigious Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool, known for its academic and sporting excellence. He later moved to the United States, where he played collegiate tennis at Francis Marion University in South Carolina.[2]
Coaching career
[edit]De Kock began coaching on the ATP Tour in 2008 and has since become known for his work with elite doubles teams on the ATP circuit.[3]
He is also affiliated with Solinco, a global tennis brand that sponsors elite players and coaches.[4]

[edit]De Kock served as assistant coach of the South African Davis Cup team in 2017.[3] He also coached the South African National U18 team from 2013 to 2017, and was national coach at the All Africa Games in 2011.
