  • Briefly describe why you have chosen this article to evaluate. I chose this article because I never had the chance to learn the history of The Gambia as a result, evaluating an article of my home country spikes my interest as well as it helps me learn more about my history.

  • Is there content that is missing or content that does not belong? The content missing is to do with the current president of The Gambia.

  • Are there any claims that appear heavily biased toward a particular position? There are no claims that appear biased. All content on the article are cited with evidence to support the information on the page.
  • Are there viewpoints that are overrepresented, or underrepresented? There are no viewpoints that are overrepresented or underrepresented.
  • Does the article attempt to persuade the reader in favor of one position or away from another? The article does not attempt to persuade the reader making it feel very unbiased and free to the reader to interpret the information as how they want to.

  • Are all facts in the article backed up by a reliable secondary source of information? All the facts stated in the article are backed up with a reliable source
  • Are the sources thorough - i.e. Do they reflect the available literature on the topic? Each source are thorough and it can be seen where the information for this article was retrieved from.
  • Are the sources current? The sources range between the 1800's to 2008. With the current topic of this article these sources are relevant. This is because it focuses on history and so most of the sources would be considered old.
  • Check a few links. Do they work? Yes the links work.

  • Is the article well-written - i.e. Is it concise, clear, and easy to read? The article flows well, it is clear and the history of the Gambia can be followed precisely as well as understood.

  • Is the article well-organized - i.e. broken down into sections that reflect the major points of the topic? The article is well organized, each information below each section relates to the section.

  • How can the article be improved? Yes the article can be improved with other information

The article needs work, it needs to be updated on more information. over time, more reliable and more insight sources have been released allowing for better and more precise history
