Article Proposal & Bibliography

[edit]

I plan to add to the article on Paternalism, which is currently rated as a start-class article on Wikipedia. The article goes into the basics of paternalism but needs further elaboration on nearly every topic mentioned in the article. Hard and soft paternalism are mentioned, but I plan to add further explanation. I also plan to add to the section of the article titled “In Society” with explanations about medical paternalism. As of yet, I have not explored pure and unpure paternalism, but that section would also benefit greatly from more information.

The version of paternalism that is talked about is mainly the one by John Stuart Mill, which is fairly popular, but adding other versions would greatly benefit the article and provide further context for those who would read it in the future. The introduction section contains a sentence that needs to be expanded upon.

I also plan to check all citations previously provided, as at least one no longer links to the website it was seemingly intended to.
