In the early hours of the morning, Cheng Ling (Ken Jeong) welcomes a documentary crew to his family’s bank called, Chow Town. As the day goes on he tries to keep a professional look, but parts of his personal life are hard to keep off video when cameras are recording his every move. His wife Lei (Margaret Cho) argues with him about the money he has spent on the documentary crew, he explains that the crew wanted to come film them free of charge for a college project. Cheng’s sister Rebecca (Ali Wong) argues with her husband Andy (Matthew Lillard) over how they will pay rent for the next month after she was fired from her job, before being interrupted by Andy’s adopted daughter Nina (Jenna Ortega). Cheng offers Rebecca a job as a bank teller at the family bank. The episode ends as Nina is revealed to be behind the documentary crew. | |||||

Cheng trains Rebecca on her first day as a bank teller when a man named Matt (Matt Walsh) comes in wanting to make a deposit. Rebecca fails the transaction forcing Matt to loose $2000 dollars, this prompts him to file a law suit against the bank. Nina asks Bennett (Jackie Chan) for help with homework, but instead he teaches her karate. While on trial for the lawsuit filed by Matt, Cheng takes the blame for Rebecca since he didn’t train her properly. Because of this, he is sentenced to 1 year in prison for theft, and the bank is shut down. While in prison, Cheng befriends another inmate named Danny (Danny Trejo) who helps him escape and helps fund a new bank for the Ling Family to operate. | |||||
