Nice to meet you! I'm Olivia. This is my Wikipedia account :)
I'm currently working on fixing dead links all across Wikipedia, but mainly the ones I've listed under my interests below. In addition, I fix up citations to ensure they have all the information available to prevent the link from rotting or being hard to find in the future. I also try to add some content to pages if I'm able to as well. Thanks for stopping by!
If you have any questions, feel free to talk to me on my talk page! I am always learning, and if you notice any way I can improve, please let me know.
Interests
[edit]I have a lot of interests, I actively like to look up Airports and Airlines, to try and improve the pages. I'm currently working on some projects like the Geographical coordinates WikiProject among other ones I find interesting. I am also in the (slow) process of reviving the Bowling WikiProject, but I'm taking my time with it. Feel free to help! My main goals are improving articles in the Aviation, Baseball, and Austrian projects. I try to also add new information when applicable, but I want to continue learning the rules and guidelines before I start doing major edits, like creation of articles down below.
What I do
[edit]Here is a list of what I primarily edit on Wikipedia, in no specific order:
- Rescue dead links and expand bare URLs in the Baseball wiki project.
- Add coordinates to various articles, sometimes from Wikidata.
- I always add the coordinates to Wikidata, with references. If you wonder where I got coordinates from, check there!
- Move some files to Commons.
- Replace Newspapers.com image links with clipped article links.
- Per WP:NEWSPAPERS (and WP:CLIP), it is suggested that newspapers.com image links (e.g. links that are www.newspapers.com/images) should be replaced with clipped articles.
- Clipped articles can be archived and read by all users for free, compared to image links which can't do either.
- Users can always view the full page by clicking into the article from the clip, so there's no loss, only gains :)
- See my essay "Citing Newspapers.com Clips" to learn more about the usefulness and how to clip them yourself!
- I also replace dead PQASB links with Newspapers.com clips, if available, as these include the full article text and not just a few words.
TemplateData
[edit]I also try to add TemplateData to templates when missing. Here's a list of templates I've added TemplateData to:
{{Airport codes}}
{{AlleBurgen}}
{{Baseballstats}}
{{Finance links}}
{{Infobox animal}}
{{Infobox baseball biography}}
{{Infobox college baseball team}}
{{Infobox diplomatic mission}}
{{Infobox military installation}}
(improved/finished){{MLB Farm System}}
{{Over-quotation}}
{{Winning percentage}}
{{Wins-losses-pct in table}}
If there's a template you want me to add template data for, let me know on my talk page!
Created pages
[edit]This is a simple list of important pages I've created. For other pages I've created, such as disambiguations, categories, or other non-article pages, see my Xtools page (for redirects, see this Xtools page).
Created articles

- 2024 UT Arlington Mavericks baseball team – American college baseball season
- Shane Livensparger (BLP) – American baseball umpire (born 1984)
- 23rd Texas Legislature – Term of state legislature in Texas, US
- Chick-fil-A Play – Entertainment app by Chick-fil-A

Created from translations
[edit]The English Wikipedia is linked with the translated source in brackets.
- Donau Zentrum , a shopping mall in Vienna.
Created templates
[edit]This list only includes useful templates, for nav-boxes and other misc template pages, see the complete list at the Xtools link above.
{{MLB team season stats}}
- External link template for linking to a MLB team season's statistics from a variety of sources.{{Baseball game links}}
- External link template for linking to numerous sites's box scores and breakdowns of a baseball game.
Uploaded files
[edit]I've uploaded some files for the purposes of improving articles. Files uploaded to Wikipedia are here solely because they are non-free, but their existence serves to improve the article they're on. Files I've uploaded to Wikimedia Commons are also to improve articles, but are often taken by me and licensed under CC-by-4.0 or the public domain depending on the uniqueness of the photo.
Scripts
[edit]I've also created some scripts to help you with editing!
Name | Description | Users | |
---|---|---|---|
Total | Active | ||
HighlightQuotes (source) | Simple script that highlights anything between quotes ("). Adds to Wiki tools sidebar, click to show. | N/A | N/A |
PasteArchiveInfo (source) | Script that, when using VE, pasting an archived (web archive or archive.today) link into the Archive URL box, will fill in archive date and URL based on that automatically. May be a bit broken. You must click on the URL and Archive date to make sure they actually save. | N/A | N/A |
TemplateSearchSuggestions (source) | Shows suggestions when adding a template with the visual editor. Work in progress. Does not do anything yet. | N/A | N/A |

[edit]Articles to create
[edit]- Earthbound Trading Company (clothing and home accessory chain store from Grapevine, Texas)
- This article might not be notable enough on its own. It must be verified as notable before work should be done.
- Miracle League, baseball league for children with mental and physical disabilities. See https://www.miracleleague.com/
Articles in progress
[edit]Note: You are free to work on any of these articles yourself. If you have any questions on it, leave them on my talk page!
- Bowling Proprietors' Association of America (bowling company responsible for a lot of bowling related things)
- Likely: BPAA as a redirect, since it's often abbreviated to that
- This article should be notable enough, given how they're referenced in notable articles (see this search result).
- Also needs a redirect from Bowling Proprietors Association of America, due to a common tendency to exclude the apostrophe.
- List of members of the Bowling Hall of Fame
- International Bowl Expo, bowling-related trade show by the above company.
- Arlington Public Library (Texas), public library system in Arlington, Texas.
- Mission Arlington, non-profit charity organization in Arlington, Texas.
- Citypark (shopping centre), mall in Graz, Austria
