Jose Franklin (born 27 November 1989) is an Indian film score and soundtrack composer. He has scored music for Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films.
Early Life
[edit]Jose Franklin was born in Trivandrum, Kerala. He was educated in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattam, Trivandrum. He has completed his sound engineering in SAE institute College, Chennai. Jose Franklin was influenced by his mother who was a Carnatic music teacher and has underwent Carnatic vocals in childhood and performed in many stages. He had started playing music from the age of 10 and composed songs for albums from the age of 17. He has worked for more than 100 short films and jingles before beginning to produce and compose music in films.
Career
[edit]Jose Franklin has made his debut in Nedunalvaadai[1][2] as an independent music director in the year 2019, which was directed by Selvakannan and produced by B-star productions. The songs went popular and has gained attention by all the village lovers. All the songs were written by Vairamuthu,[3] which made the songs more soulful. Jose has collaborated and composed with an international album, Red rivers [4]. He has also composed for Malaysian Tamil film, Maravan,[5] and had won the best song award for the song " Oru venpon maalai" in the year 2015. He has also extended his music interest in working with the other languages like Malayalam and Telugu film industries.
Apart from composing, Jose Franklin is also a playback singer. His song Mudhal murai [6] from Seemathurai directed by Santhosh Thiyagarajan, starring Varsha Bollamma and Geethan Britto in the lead roles which released in 2018 gained popularity.
