Several conservative commentators, including Sebastian Gorka of Marine Corps University,[1] argued that political correctness limits the ability of the American security services to prevent Jihadist terrorism, and that liberal politicians push for increased gun control to avoid political criticism of Islamic fundamentalism.

Steven Crowder,[2][self-published source?], Mark Hemingway of the Weekly Standard,[3] and

blamed the attack on [2][3][1] and a perceived tendency for

[2][3] Crowder also argued that the root cause of the attack, which they view as symptomatic, is Islamic fundamentalism rather than an American gun culture fueled by the National Rifle Association.[2]
