Fruits & Veggies – More Matters
Why you have chosen this article to evaluate?
[edit](Briefly explain why you chose it, why it matters, and what your preliminary impression of it was.)
I chose this article because it is relevant to family and consumer sciences and there is not a lot of information on Wikipedia about topic surrounds family and consumer sciences, specifically nutrition related. I think this is a useful campaign and having more information on Wikipedia would spotlight the importance and benefits.
Evaluate the article
[edit](Compose a detailed evaluation of the article here, considering each of the key aspects listed above. Consider the guiding questions, and check out the examples of what a useful Wikipedia article evaluation looks like.)
Lead Section:
The lead section is concise and does provide an introductory sentences for the reader with a quick overview of the campaign. The section does not give an overview of what is to come in the article
Content :
The article does remain on topic and stays relevant to the topic. The content does not have any dates within the last 10 years and there could be an update on the article in that regard. I think the content that is in the article belongs there but I think there could be more information added to highlight the benefits of the campaign. The article does not mention food disparities among any populations or highlight the possibility of food deserts.
Tone and Balance:
The article is written in neutral tone, there does not appear to be any bias or opinions present in the article. As previously states, there is no mention of any minorities or any viewpoints in general.
Sources and References:
The sources do appear to all be working and support the claims of the article. The information relies on two sources alone so the information may be biased because there is not a broad range of information put into the article.
Organization and Writing Quality:
The article is written in a concise fashion. It is a brief read that is easily understandable, there are only two sections and I think a lack of information is one problem with this article.
Images and Media:
The article does not include any media to enhance the topic.
Talk Page Discussion:
There are not any discussions going on in this talk page.
Overall Impressions:
The article is very concise and I think going into more depth on why the campaign is important would benefit the readers. Additionally, providing ways to add fruits and vegetables into the diet would provide examples on how to meet the campaigns guidelines. The article also has not been updated in terms of adding new information in a while and I also think providing up to date data supporting the campaign would be adding value to the article. I think the article in underdeveloped, I do not know a whole lot about this campaign but I am sure there could be more information added.
