  1. Srinivas Belur Vijayaraghavan

Srinivas Belur Vijayaraghavan is an Indian marketing executive, author and speaker known for his leadership in the technology and startup sectors. He has served as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Loop (formerly Loop Health), a health-tech startup, and held senior marketing roles at firms including Gupshup (as VP–Marketing) and Pluralsight (as Country Head – Marketing for India). Over a career spanning more than two decades, he has worked with global technology companies (including IBM, Hewlett-Packard and Tejas Networks) and SaaS startups (such as Mobileum, Qubole and Gupshup). He is the author of several books on marketing (including *The SaaS Model: A New Dimension to Marketing*) and is frequently featured in industry media and conferences as a thought leader in marketing and technology.

    1. Career

Vijayaraghavan began his career as a software engineer at IBM, later earning an MBA from IIM Bangalore. He transitioned into marketing and management roles at global technology firms. Early in his marketing career he held positions at Hewlett-Packard (HP) and at Tejas Networks (a telecom equipment firm). He then served at Mobileum (formerly Harris’s telecom business) in a marketing leadership role.

In the 2010s, Vijayaraghavan moved to India-focused roles in the software industry. Around 2015–2019 he was **Country Head of Marketing for India at Pluralsight**. He subsequently joined the data-platform startup **Qubole** in a senior marketing position. In late 2019 or early 2020, he became **Vice President of Marketing at Gupshup**, a conversational messaging platform. He remained at Gupshup through 2021–2022, speaking on panels (e.g. at a Dentsu-E4M digital advertising event) and co-hosting the company’s *Conversational Messaging* podcast.

In 2023, Vijayaraghavan joined **Loop Health (Loop)**, a Bengaluru-based health insurance startup, as Chief Marketing Officer. (Loop’s own website confirms he is the CMO for their company-facing content series.) In this role he oversees brand, product and growth marketing.

    1. Publications and Patents

Vijayaraghavan is also an author. His published books include:

  • *Marketing for Services Outsourcing* (McGraw-Hill, 2013) – a business marketing textbook.
  • *Tattvam: A Family’s Self-Discovery* (2015) – a full-length novel he wrote as a personal project.
  • *Filmy Manager* (2016) – a book on the business of Indian cinema.
  • *The SaaS Model: A New Dimension to Marketing* (Bloomsbury, 2023) – a professional guide to marketing in software-as-a-service companies.

These titles are confirmed by publisher listings and event profiles (e.g. a NASSCOM conference biography lists the first three titles).

He holds patents as an inventor from his time at IBM. Notably, U.S. Patent No. 8,024,306 (filed 2007, granted 2011) titled “Hash-based access to resources in a data processing network,” and U.S. Patent No. 7,519,726 (filed 2003, granted 2009) titled “Methods, apparatus and computer programs for enhanced access to resources within a network” both list S.B. Vijayaraghavan as a co-inventor. These patents – assigned to IBM – pertain to technology for managing and distributing network resources.
