About Brahmanand S Siingh:

Brahmanand S Siingh is an award-winning filmmaker (producer-director) and writer based out of Mumbai. Prominent among his films are Pancham Unmixed: Mujhe Chalte Jaana Hai (an unending journey), a National Award-winning (among many other awards) feature-length documentary on legendary Indian music composer RD Burman; Ragpickers, Scavengers of a Different Graveyard; Uncaging the Body (Apsara Award for Best Short Film, 2003-2004); A Burden of Love (on Alzheimer’s disease) and Ashgari Bai (on an octogenarian legendary dhrupad singer). He has also been commissioned to do a whole lot many corporate and other films.

Many of his films have been screened at various International film festivals as well as on national and international television channels, and have been nominated for and won, national and international awards. He has also been invited to be on the Jury, Selection panels across film festivals and prestigious award platforms.

Currently, he is doing two feature films --- Surmayee Shaam (A Musical Sunset, a lyrical relationship thriller against the backdrop of Alzheimer’s, Indian production) & Between Our Worlds (an unlikely love story, caught between the backdrop of farmers’ suicide in India and corporate greed internationally, an Indo-German production). Another powerful film, Ek Aur Bachpan (A Different Childhood), a lyrical and charming feature film set against the backdrop of insidious world of bonded child slave labor is also in the pipeline. Other than these, after years of preparation backing his unique vision, he has ventured into producing a path-breaking series of inspirational biographies, all set to change the way biographies are viewed in this country.
