Mark Paul Hadfield is a Songwriter, Record Producer, and Musician born in Manchester, England.
Early Career
[edit]Leaving school at the age of 16, Mark's career in the music industry began as a 'tea boy' at Moonraker Studios in Manchester. He soon progressed to become mix engineer working alongside local artists such as A Guy Called Gerald, Chapter & the Verse, Family Foundation, Hybrid MC Buzzbee.
By night Mark spent much time performing on the UK rave circuit with Hybrid, whilst at the same time (alongside school friend Stephen Wood) crafting his first offering as artist in the form of Rhythm Quest, ‘Closer to All Your Dreams’ in 1991, and signed to Birmingham Record label Network Records (responsible for acts such as Derrick May, Inner City, Altern-8, KWS and Kevin Saunderson) His first single release narrowly missing the UK Top 40 chart entering at number 45.
The 2 years that followed, Rhythm Quest toured the UK performing alongside acts such as The Prodigy, Shades of Rhythm & SL2.
In 1994, Pop Music legend Pete Waterman of Stock Aitken and Waterman offered Mark the opportunity to set up & run a brand new business venture based in Manchester. A studio complex and Electronic Dance Music Record Eastern Bloc Records alongside Pete's son, Mix Engineer Paul Waterman and Club DJ Paul Taylor.
