SOFTBALL FURIES 2009 SEASON Welcome to the Home Page for the Milford, Connecticut Softball Fluries team, home of the Fluries in the Adults wooden bat league. This is our first season as we look forward to building a dynasty. There is some new guys to the game and some veterans such as Tommy X and Jays Dad "Big Jay" the man known for the long ball. The team consists of guys with speed and lots of it, some power, and good fielding and pitching. They will be a small ball team using there speed to go from 1st to 3rd on singles, and stealing bases and tagging up. The head coach is Matt Paquette and his side man the bench coach and fielding coach for this year/ player is Ryan Thibault. The team has a 17 game schedule and looks to qualify for states in first season, and continue to get better and better.

Matt Paquette- Head Coach and 1st Base Coach
Ryan Thibault- Bench Coach/Fielder Coach/3rd Base Coach
Roster:
Tommy X- pitcher throws right and hits right handed
Bobby Gil aka NBG- shortstop cannon for an arm at the short stop
Big Jay- OF/1b/DH- seasonal cleanup hitter
Ryan Olearly- 3rd basemen/OF will become a better player every day of season
Jay Parsons- OF with good range and speed/good knowlegde for the game
Mike Kinsella "Captian"- OF but can play SS too, great speed, and defense
Pat McConachie- OF with alot of speed to cover alot of ground will only improve
Ryan Watkins- Fill in player for OF and possibly Pitcher
Robby Lonergan- OF little guy with alot of heart, might not have the best talent but gives it his all with his speed and heart
PJ- C whos a good athelte will be a solid player and a good arm to throw out runners
Corey Stowe- he will step in at any time when needed
