Ed Morishima was the 1987 WPC World Powerlifting Champion in the 148.75 weight class. In 1987, he was only the third person in the history of powerlifting to successfully lift a triple bodyweight bench press of 446.25. He broke three World Bench Press record in his career 429, 446.25 & 447.50 all at a bodyweight of 148.75.
