  • To range-block a group of IP addresses, put the range block directly in the box of the address to be blocked, e.g., 2605:e000:96c0:af00::/64.
  • When you block an IP, there is a box that is unchecked by default called "Prevent logged-in users from editing from this IP address". If you check that, it works like an autoblock against named accounts, meaning that they can't log in if they are using the blocked IP address. However, the block log attributes reflect this only implicitly, meaning with that box unchecked, there is the phrase "anon. only", whereas with the box checked, that phrase is omitted. See this discussion.

  • {{Uw-sockwarn}}. This is for an only warning to a sockmaster sometimes used on a first offense. It can also be used for meat puppetry.
  • {{uw-login}}. This is for warning named accounts about editing without logging in without expressly accusing them of sock puppetry. Twinkle has it.
  • {{DiffsNeeded}} is used when you're doing the standard moreinfo or cumoreinfo request. Substr is required.

  • WP:ACCG (account creator guide)

  • Editor restrictions list
  • Moonriddengirl's cheat sheet on copyright
  • Wikipedia:Editor assistance/Requests/Header. Edit this to change the WP:EAR header. I assume that the other noticeboards follow a similar format.
  • Wikipedia:User access levels. This shows all the rights users can have and how they are acquired. In particular, look at this table.
  • Wikipedia:External links/Perennial websites. This is a helpful essay about specific external links like social media sites, YouTube, Find-a-Grave, ancestry.com. Just because there's a template for an external link doesn't mean it's okay to add the external link. Often cited at WP:RSN.--Bbb23 (talk) 22:50, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
  • {{sharedIPEDU}}. This is for an IP talk page that geolocates to an educational institution. The See also section has other shared templates.
  • Community-based sanctions block template: {{Uw-csblock}}
  • List of IPs who vandalize infoboxes about schools, mostly lawyers and judges: 101.160.18.172 (talk · contribs · count); 104.34.117.56 (talk · contribs · count); 104.34.113.199 (talk · contribs · count). There are many others, but I have to find them. I believe I block them for three months. Adding User:104.34.120.237 (talk · contribs · count) and 104.34.99.185 (talk · contribs · count). Note that the 104 series all geolocate to Northridge, California, whereas the 101 IP geolocates to Australia. Adding 104.34.101.19 (talk · contribs · count).

  • This discussion explains how templates that begin with a forward slash work. This is useful for WP:SPI, for example, which has a template like this for the header of the page. Another method later added to the discussion: edit Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations and look in "Pages transcluded onto the current version of this page" at the bottom. --Bbb23 (talk) 00:04, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
  • Canned response to a CU request for an IP address: We rarely disclose the IP address of a named account per the privacy policy.
  • WP:MASSDELETE. "Most of those directions are for installing the function to Mediawiki--which is already done here, so you don't need to worry about it. All you need to do is follow the "Usage" section, i.e. go to Special:Nuke and type in the editor's name to delete all the pages they've created, or a pagename pattern to delete pages with similar names." Writ Keeper.
  • Using a script that is in common.js, you can rollback all edits of a given user. Bring up their contributions page, and there is a rollback all option at the top in a dropdown. I know of no way that you can selectively rollback multiple edits. Writ Keeper is the owner of the script.
