TradingView is a web-service and a social network for traders[1], based on the platform for technical analysis. The start date of the project is September, 2011[2].
It's the freemium SAAS model: there is a free version and 3 paid subscription options with more features available with each plan.
TradingView users are individual traders and investors. The website is translated to 20 languages, and has around 8 000 000 people visiting it every month[3].
Team
[edit]TradingView was founded in 2011 by Denis Globa (CEO), Stan Bokov (COO), Constantine Ivanov (CTO) and Andrey Kirillov (CFO) — they currently form the executive team. Headquarters of the company are located in New York, NY. Development offices are located in Rostov-on-Don, Saint Petersburg and Moscow. European headquarters are in London.
Company History
[edit]The philosophy of the project starting from 2011 was to help users from all over the world to learn more about financial markets and exchange trade ideas.
In summer 2013 the project was selected to startup accelerator TechStars[4], where they signed contracts with Microsoft and CME[5]. Later the company raised $3.6 mil. from iTech Capital and other investors (TechStars, Right Side Capital Management, and Irish Angels)[6].
In May, 2017 TradingView was awarded as the Best Analytical Platform at Benzinga Global Fintech Awards 2017[7].
In May 2018 the company closed another round of venture investment, and raised $37 mil. from Insight Venture Partners, DRW Venture Capital и Jump Capital[8].
