Current tasks
The bot currently assists our administrators by cleaning up vandalism‑in‑progress reports.
- If the bot wrongly removes one of your reports, just revert the change; it won’t remove the reported IP or user for the next 12 hours.
- The bot automatically removes all reported IPs that are locally or globally blocked. It also detects if an entire IP range is blocked.
- BarrasBot also removes users who are locally blocked or globally locked. It won’t remove reports when the block is only partial.
- If an IP isn’t blocked but stops vandalizing, the bot will drop it as a stale report after six hours of no edits.
The bot was approved for this task on 25 July 2025. It currently runs without a bot flag due to its low editing rate. As of November 2025, the bot is flagged as such due to its second task.
Archiving of talk and meta pages
The bot currently archives talk pages. This is pretty much the same task as before (see former task below).
- Approved and flagged as bot on 4 November 2025.
How to use it
The bot uses the exact same configuration as MiszaBot (talk · contribs) used. A detailed explanation can be found here.
