DigiByte (ticker symbol DGB[4]) is a decentralized blockchain founded in January 2014, with a focus on cyber security, payments & secure communications technologies.

History

DigiByte was developed in 2013 and released on 10 January 2014.[5] Although forked from Litecoin, adjustments in the code allow for improved functionality, including 15-seconds block time and improved security. As of August 2018 DigiByte has a total market cap of over US $400 million.[6]. It is the world's longest, fastest and most secure UTXO blockchain in existence.
