Azhar's career in telecommunications spans over a notable five-year tenure as General Manager of Sales at both PTCL and Ufone. His leadership and expertise have played a crucial role in shaping the sales strategies and operational efficiencies of company. Early Life, Career and Education
[edit]Azhar Saeed was a distinguished Pakistani professional in FMCG sectors, known for his exceptional contributions and achievements. Azhar was the son of an Army junior commission officer. He completed his matriculation at FG Boys High School, Peshawar Cantt, and his intermediate studies at Nisar Shaheed College, Risalpur. Driven by a deep desire to make a difference for his family and himself, Azhar initially aspired to join the Pakistan Army, inspired by his father’s military career. Despite being rejected in his attempts to join the armed forces, he channeled his ambition into other avenues.
Azhar earned a BA in Economics and Law from Peshawar University and an MBA from CECOS University. His professional journey began with an internship at PepsiCo, followed by a role as Area Manager at National Tobacco. He subsequently joined Philip Morris in 2006 as a Senior Area Sales Manager and later transitioned to Engro Foods as an Area Manager until 2014. His career took a significant turn when he joined Abbott Laboratories, leading to his relocation to Karachi where his career got a boost. His role as General Manager at PTCL in 2018 at PTCL, Azhar made substantial contributions, overseeing operations across three regions of Pakistan and achieving notable success.
Azhar’s unexpected passing in April2024 marked the end of a remarkable career. He is remembered for his resilience, remarkable achievements, and his ability to overcome numerous challenges, all while striving to improve the lives of those around him. His legacy is a testament to his dedication and the profound impact he made in a relatively short time.
Death
[edit]Azhar Saeed passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 44, from a cardiac arrest at Khyber Teaching Hospital Peshawar. His untimely death was a profound loss to his family.
