Maituo
[edit]Maituo (Chinese name: Lv Junxi) is a guitar prodigy born on March 8, 2015 in Guiyang, Guizhou, China.[1] He began to learn classical guitar in 2020, and electric guitar in January 2021.[2] His father is also a guitarist and his sister (two years older) is a drummer.[3] His father posts his videos on Instagram and YouTube, where as of fall 2024 he had 164,000 followers.[4]
He plays the blues (influenced by BB King)[5] hard rock and metal songs, such as the guitar solo in Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns ‘N Roses[6] on a full-size adult guitar.[7]
His lightning-quick fingerpicking has stunned other guitar players.[8]
