Mushtaq Khan (Appraiser)

[edit]

Mushtaq Khan is a Canadian real estate appraiser and the President of Alpha Appraisals Inc., a residential appraisal firm based in Toronto, Ontario. He is a designated CRA, P.App. member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) and is known for his work in capital gains tax valuations, matrimonial settlements, estate planning, and retrospective appraisals across the Greater Toronto Area.

Career

[edit]

Khan founded Alpha Appraisals Inc. to provide legally compliant, court-defensible residential property appraisals for clients throughout the GTA. Unlike many firms, his appraisal services are conducted exclusively by himself, not delegated to trainee appraisers or contractors, ensuring full compliance with the Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (CUSPAP).

In 2025, Khan was awarded the Consumer Choice Award for Business Excellence in the Greater Toronto Area, recognizing Alpha Appraisals for outstanding service and community trust in the real estate appraisal sector. That same year, Khan was quoted in the Toronto Star in an article discussing the impact of real estate appraisals on the Toronto property market.[1]
