Limited Run Games, LLC is an American video game publisher and distributor based in Raleigh, North Carolina, founded in 2015 by Josh Fairhurst and Douglas Bogart. Fairhust and Bogart were avid video game collectors before they founded the company. Fairhurst also was an employee at Epic Games and founded Mighty Rabbit Studios, the parent company of Limited Run Games, on August 25, 2010.

The company began publishing and selling video games that were previously released as digital only on physical media, with the games being sold on their website. Each title published by the company is released in a single print run in limited quantities that vary by title to ensure the title sells out. The company finances all costs of a game's print run, and handles all other necessary steps while the developer is charged with the same fee asked by digital distributors. The majority of games sold by the company are given a number which indicates their place a complete collection. The first title released under this model was Breach & Clear that was developed by its parent company for PlayStation Vita on October 28, 2015. The game was given a single print run of 1,500 copies available and sold out in less than 108 minutes after it was made available for purchase.

After the release of Saturday Morning RPG sold out for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita the company expanded and began releasing physical versions of digital only games from third party developers. The first third-party title was Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty! for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Initially only one title was released per month but starting with Lost Sea and Xeodrifter both titles were released on July 4, 2016 the company began releasing anywhere from two to six titles per month. After publishing and distributing titles exclusively for the PlayStation family of consoles for three years the company expanded to publishing titles for Nintendo Switch on April 13, 2018 with their physical release of Thimbleweed Park.

In addition to their own titles, the company also expanded to distributing titles from other similar publishers. These titles may come with a unique cover but feature no branding from company and isn't included in their complete collection. The first distribution partnership was announced on May 6, 2017 with Special Reserve Games when the company released 1,000 copies of Strafe for PlayStation 4 on their website.[1] The company became the exclusive distributor of Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas for Nintendo Switch in a partnership with FDG Entertainment.[2]
