[edit]Categories allow articles of the encyclopedia to be placed in one or more groups. I'm sorry, but you can not have categories and templates intended for articles and guidelines on your user page because user pages do not belong in mainspace categories that are reserved for articles of the encyclopedia. You may add your user page to user categories (subcategories of Category:Wikipedians). A user category is a type of category that contains the user pages of Wikipedia users. The simplest way to do so is to use userboxes.
To link to a category page from your user page put a colon before the word "Category" and the links will appear as:
- Category:Technologies
- Category:Oceanography
- Category:The Beatles
- Category:Philosophy
- Category:The Clash
- Category:Democracy
- Category:Sex
- Peter Max (article)
- Category:Water and politics
- Category:Humanitarians
- Category:Punk rock
