ReflecTech® Mirror Film, made by ReflecTech, Inc. is a high reflectance (94% solar weighted hemispherical and 94% specular at 660 nanometer and 25 milliradian acceptance angle) silvered film. It was developed for outdoor use in solar concentrators (traditionally these have used glass mirrors), but can be used in many ambient temperature reflective applications. It is lighter than glass, non-breakable, resistant to moisture and ultraviolet radiation, and contains no lead. It was developed through collaborative research with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).
