Ahlam is Head Librarian of the Agricultural Research Corporation (ARC), Wad Medani, Sudan, and manager of FAO / AGRIS Resource Center of Sudan. Ahlam also presents as the national coordinator for the Sudan National Agricultural Information Network (SNAIN) with over 30 years of experience in the field of agricultural library and information management. During her long experience in specialized field of work, Ahlam has participated in many projects and training activities and workshops at national, regional, and international levels and presented several papers, presentations, and reports. Ahlam is a member of The International Association of Agricultural Information Specialists (IAALD) - Africa Chapter and other related national, regional, and international professional associations.

Ahlam Musa works as a volunteer for free within the Wikimedia Community User Group Sudan team to enhance digital content on Wikimedia.
