Hilda Wager Bull (2 July 1886 – 30 June 1953), known in later life as Hilda Esson and then Hilda Dale, was an Australian medical doctor, actor, and director who lived in Melbourne, Victoria. She was one of the few Australian women doctors to serve in World War I. She was a founding member of the Pioneer Players, along with Nettie Palmer, Vance Palmer, and Bull's first husband Louis Esson. During her 23 years as medical officer for the Melbourne City council, she contributed to reducing the Diphtheria cases from 14 per year, to zero. She is also received international notability for her research into Poliomyelitis.

Bull died on 30 June 1953 in Hampton, Victoria aged 66 years.[2][3]
