Revision of ad nauseam

[edit]

Hello, could you please tell me why something like that shouldn’t go on that page? I see many pages with the popular culture thing. Just so I know for next time. Its a new trap (talk) 17:57, 27 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia's guideline is at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Trivia sections. • a frantic turtle 🐢 18:00, 27 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I think I understand now.
Is it just not notable enough?
Apologies Its a new trap (talk) 18:17, 27 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hello A frantic turtle, the problem of ambiguous info(without a approximate), and if you could fix it thank you.

[edit]

I researched the sources and i researched the websites, i was looking at interstellar travel and saw that it did not specify how much of a “fraction” it had so i had to research myself how much of the speed of light humanity would need to even make interstellar travel possible, if possible please find a source that can give a legitimate approximation, thank you, from - Carl Cedrick (talk) 15:43, 28 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid that's not how Wikipedia works. One of our rules is that the onus for finding a source is on the person wanting to add something to an article, not on other editors to going looking for sources for you. The whole place would grind to a halt if we worked that way. If you can find a reliable source that gives a useful figure, you can add the information back, but please note that we never accept original research. • a frantic turtle 🐢 15:55, 28 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

revert

[edit]

i saw your revert on pet sitting. could this have been rewritten as a neutral point of view? Julie Crowell (talk) 14:11, 30 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

It could. Feel free to give it a try. You'll need reliable, third party sources for each assertion, which should not lead, as the original did, to an advert for a website pretending to be neutral prose. • a frantic turtle 🐢 14:33, 30 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
ok. thanks Julie Crowell (talk) 14:36, 30 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

TGW Logistics Group

[edit]

Hi Frantic Turtle. I have updated the TGW Logistics page with only links to impartial news sources and briefly edited the summary section to bring the information upto date. Please leave as it is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JPTGW (talkcontribs) 14:21, 30 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

No you didn't. You just reverted the article back to your company's preferred version full of marketing-speak. You are breaking Wikipedia's terms and conditions by doing this undeclared paid editing. Please stop. • a frantic turtle 🐢 14:31, 30 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

citation of an example use

[edit]

i added a citation of a product that uses xlr4 for pyrotechnics, as i was unable to find any better sources for it. i would have included the spec sheet but it is a pdf and that got blocked

what did i do wrong? i am quite new to editing and just wanted to help Freerunnerleon (talk) 14:01, 31 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

To me, the site seems more concerned with selling the device in question and less about informing our readers about how it works or the like. It also doesn't seem to be reliably confirming anything that it's acting as a citation for. But others' mileage may differ, so perhaps you could ask for a second opinion at the external links noticeboard or the reliable sources noticeboard? • a frantic turtle 🐢 13:58, 1 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
