Dr. Amit K. Suman is an Indian historian and academic specializing in colonial education and indigenous knowledge systems in South Asia. He is currently an Assistant Professor of History at Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi.
Early life and education
[edit]Suman earned his BA and MA in History from the University of Delhi, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Archives and Records Management from the National Archives of India. He completed his PhD in History at the University of Delhi in 2016. His doctoral thesis examined colonial transformations in institutions like the Calcutta Madrasa and Sanskrit College during the 18th and 19th centuries.

He previously held teaching posts at ARSD College and Sri Venkateswara College.
