Professionals

[edit]

Since the club's formation, Forfarshire has had many professionals at the club. During the halcyon years of Scottish county cricket at of the turn of the 20th century until the outbreak of the Great War, Forfarshire employed two professionals. This increased to three; veteran Pat Higgins and his two understudies, former Nottinghamshire player George Chambers and Scotland-capped Billy Ringrose.
