for proper dark-mode support, adding a class skin-invert in order so that it displays as light on dark and dark on light. additionally, minor change, moving from "'s" to "of" so that "signature" comes first and doesn't cause any issue with some names. duplicated that to the default alt text.

| data41      = {{#invoke:InfoboxImage|InfoboxImage|image={{{signature|}}}|upright={{#expr:125/220}}|alt={{{signature_alt|}}}|title={{{name|{{{Full name|{{{English name|{{PAGENAMEBASE}}}}}}}}}}}'s signature|suppressplaceholder=yes}}

to this:

| data41      = {{#invoke:InfoboxImage|InfoboxImage|image={{{signature|}}}|class=skin-invert|upright={{#expr:125/220}}|alt={{{signature_alt|{{{name|{{{Full name|{{{English name|{{PAGENAMEBASE}}}}}}}}}}}}}}|title=Signature of {{{name|{{{Full name|{{{English name|{{PAGENAMEBASE}}}}}}}}}}}|suppressplaceholder=yes}}

 Not done: please make your requested changes to the template's sandbox first; see WP:TESTCASES. I don't think it is appropriate to add skin-invert to every image. I recommend adding |class= to the sandbox and testing it on the testcases page with a few images (including jpg, png, svg). – Jonesey95 (talk) 16:15, 25 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

"Installation" & "Installed_by"

[edit]

Need to add new fields under "Orders": Installation & Installed_by. These reflect the Christian act of Installation, which is a liturgical act when, at least in the ELCA a Bishop (or other specific leaders) are installed to begin their tenure. Bastique ☎ call me! 20:19, 31 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Re-ordering top parameters

[edit]

I propose re-ordering the top parameters in this infobox. At the moment the title is below the name section and above the image. This separates the title from the the years they held that appointment, and has led to some people adding former/emeritus in front of the main title when they have retired. To compare, the Template:Infobox Officeholder has the title and term together. I have two suggestions for comment:

  • 1. Simplify the time period parameters and move them up to appear between the tile and image parameter; showing either start date-end date (e.g. 12 May 2005 – 2 August 2012) if complete or "Installation/Elected/Appointed: 12 May 2005" if its current.

Any comments? I would add a mock up of each option, but I don't know how to do that. Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 17:02, 21 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Infobox person has an RfC for possible consensus regarding the removal of color from person infoboxes. A discussion is taking place. Remove 'age', from baptism

[edit]

Do we really need to have the age of the person, when they're baptised? GoodDay (talk) 23:38, 20 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

With both the date of birth and the date of baptism included, the age is certainly redundant.
However, I'm not sure how to assess cases where the date of birth is missing but the approximate age at baptism is known. I suppose that might apply to certain historical figures or exceptional cases. Are such instances frequent enough to make including the age useful or necessary? The matter has been taken care of. GoodDay (talk) 15:16, 24 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
