Usage

Parameter names and examples

template (and optional template2, template3, template4)

Name of the template(s) adding articles to the tracking category

|template=BoxRec for Template:BoxRec

search for categories using template2, template3 or template4

example with four template links is Category:Metacritic ID different from Wikidata

property (and optional property2, property3, property4)

Wikidata property or properties being tracked by the template and category

|property=P1967 for BoxRec boxer ID (P1967)

search for categories using property2, property3 or property4

example with two property links is Category:FIBA template missing ID and not in Wikidata

type

Selects the category description and parent category

|type=different for Category:BoxRec template with ID different from Wikidata (search)

|type=not for Category:BoxRec template with ID not in Wikidata (search)

|type=missing for Category:BoxRec template missing ID and not in Wikidata (search)

|type=same for Category:BoxRec template with ID same as Wikidata (search)

|type=using for Category:BoxRec template using Wikidata (search)

parameters

Specifies the template parameters which contain the ID. This is only used with |type=not to display a link to the Harvest Templates tool. The link displayed in the category will be pre-populated with the category name, the template name, the Wikidata property and the contents of |parameters=.

|parameters=1

If the template only uses |1= (unnamed first parameter) for the ID.

|parameters=id

If the template only uses |id= for the ID.

|parameters=1{{!}}id

|parameters=1%7Cid

If the template uses |1= (unnamed first parameter) or |id= for the ID. The separators {{!}} or %7C are used to place | between the parameter names. See example at Category:BoxRec template with ID not in Wikidata.
