Template:Timestamp
Appearance
20260126133153
{{Timestamp}} is the template equivalent for the magic word (also known as variable) {{CURRENTTIMESTAMP}}. The template invokes this variable when called. Due to MediaWiki and browser caching, these variables frequently show when the page was cached rather than the current time.
Alternative: To generate a formatted date stamp with the current date and time, use five tildes (~~~~~) to output: 13:31, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
. In some templates, five tildes is the preferred way to add the date.
