Template:Royal Collection

This template is used to generate an external link to a web page for an object in the Royal Collection.
Usage
[edit]The two required parameters are:
- RCIN, Royal Collection Identification Number. It is displayed on every object page; it is also a part of the address of every object page.
- Object name to be displayed with the link.
The third parameter is optional:
- Creator of the object to be displayed with the link.
{{Royal Collection|912197|Sir George Carew}} gives:
- "Sir George Carew". Royal Collection Trust. Inventory no. 912197.
{{Royal Collection|912197|Sir George Carew|Hans Holbein the Younger}} gives:
- Hans Holbein the Younger. "Sir George Carew". Royal Collection Trust. Inventory no. 912197.
{{Royal Collection|912197|Sir George Carew|[[Hans Holbein the Younger]]}} gives:
- Hans Holbein the Younger. "Sir George Carew". Royal Collection Trust. Inventory no. 912197.
Alternatively use parameter names:
rcin=Royal Collection Identification Number title=Object Name creator=Creator or alternatively author=Author
In addition there are some other named parameter which can be used with named or unnamed parameters:
ref defaults to:
ref=RC rcin
but ref can be overwritten with any value including "none"
ref=none
If is for use with the Harvard templates such as {{sfn}}:
{{sfn|RC|rcin}}
mode defaults to
mode=cs1
but it can be overwritten with any value. For example
|mode=cs2
