Template:Muck Rack generates an external link to an account at Muck Rack. It is designed to standardize the text and formatting of links to the legitimate Muck Rack account of a journalist

Explanations and examples

One parameter

Fill this parameter with the ID string used in the URL for the user's account profile on Muck Rack. When one parameter is used, the link text is the title of the Wikipedia article where this template is used, without any disambiguation such as (journalist).

Output: David Walsh at the Muck Rack journalist directory

Two parameters

The first parameter will be the ID string used in the URL at Muck Rack. The second parameter will be used as the link text.

Usage: {{Muck Rack | kate-bottley | Kate Bottley }}; {{Muck Rack | id= kate-bottley | name= Kate Bottley }}

Output: Kate Bottley at the Muck Rack journalist directory

No parameters

When used without an "id" parameter, this template will call data from Wikidata, if available. If none is available, the category Category:Muckrack template missing ID will be applied and an error message will be displayed.

Usage: {{Muck Rack}}

Output: {{Muckrack}} template missing ID and not present in Wikidata.
