Template:Infobox skyline

This is the infobox for skylines used to summarize key skyscraper-related statistics. It should generally be used on "tallest building" articles for cities or areas within cities. Note that this infobox should be used only if the number of buildings and their height are known to be accurate and supported by a reliable source, such as citations on the same page or from a building database such as CTBUH, SkyscraperPage, or Emporis.

Usage notes
Years
If the number is expected to change frequently, it may be helpful to append the year the count was taken in brackets (e.g. 37 (2025)) to let viewers know how up-to-date the figure is. Editors who recognize that the count is outdated can then update the count.
Sourcing for the number of buildings
If the count cannot be corroborated by the table in the article (for example, when the count includes high-rises below the table's cut-off height), an appropriate source such as CTBUH or SkyscraperPage should be cited.
If the number isn't directly appended by a source, the number of buildings above the height given should be able to be confirmed by the table in the article.
Determining the number of buildings
If you're citing from SkyscraperPage, you can quickly find out how many buildings a city has over a certain height by clicking on "Skyscraper Map", selecting only "built", and sliding the minimum height bar to the desired height (usually 100 m or 150 m for the purposes of this infobox).
Alternatively, click on "Skyscraper Diagram" in the top left of the page. Scroll down and select "built" and unselect "construction", "proposed", and "destroyed". Select "high-rise" for structure type, enter a minimum height, and click "all buildings" for drawing selection. Click search and the number of valid buildings will be shown above the building diagrams.
For small skylines, you may use "Buildings taller than 50 meters" or "Buildings taller than 20 stories", whichever is better suited to the city or article. Using both may be redundant.
