Parameters
[edit]- name
- The term goes here. If left empty, it defaults to the Wikipedia article's title.
- image
- You can add a relevant notable image that demonstrates the use of the word here. Users should be cautious that an image is *not* necessary for this infobox and it might be better off to just leave it *without* an image than to add a unnecessary image (even if relevant to the topic) just for the sake of it. Use judgement.
- alt
- Alt text for the image goes here.
- caption
- The image caption is added here.
- etymology
- The etymology of the term goes here. Users should keep it bried and avoid providing the info on the etymology in prose form. **Sources should be cited**.
- language
- The language the term is from goes here. Perferably but optionally the language should be probably wikilinked. **If the term is from English, this should be left empty**.
- pronunciation / pron
- The pronunciation of the term goes here. It should be written in IPA. If the term is in English, pronunciation respelling is probably okay as well.
- meaning
- The meaning of the term goes here.
- literal / lit
- The meaning of the term in a literal sense goes here. This is useful for swear words like motherfucker, shit, etc.
- figurative / fig
- The meaning of the term when used by people goes here. Words like the aforementioned swear words apply as great examples.
