"webMethods" line being sold to IBM for USD $ 2.3

[edit]

Software AG bought webMethods for US $546 million in 2007. In December, it agreed to sell its webMethods product line to IBM for $ 2.33 billion in 2023. The deal is set to close in 2024.

Can I add content to the main webMethods article?

[edit]

I'm a new contributor to wikipedia, but I'm an expert on webMethods. I'm on the patent for webMethods Integration Server. I joined the company as employee number 30 in 1998 and I followed the product/brand through the acquisitions by Software AG and now IBM. I'm a product manager for the webMethods iPaaS, which is the core product. I would like to broaden the knowledge about not only the company webMethods, but the product line. I have no desire to turn this into an advertisement for webMethods. But this company and product means a lot to me and I'd like to contribute to its legacy on wikipedia. I made my first minor contribution today, updating the external links to no longer link to Software AG but instead to IBM sites. Any advice before I start making contributions to this page?
