What is the meaning of the song 'Watching and Waiting' by the Moody Blues

[edit]

The meaning of this song has been misinterpreted to be the feelings of Adam, the first human. When actually the lyrics speak of the acts and abilities of an infinitely powerful being. The anti-God sentiment that has taken root in our society today is at the core of this poor interpretation. 'Soon I will be all around you'... this is omnipresence. "Don't be alarmed by my fields and my forests", here again, the words of a Creator. And so forth as revealed by the actual lyrics of the song. It's sad when pure art and poetry are politicized by misinformed humans. CaptBillusmm (talk) 02:56, 24 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The article makes no mention of either interpretation. If you have any source(s) which discuss either, perhaps you could add something? Martinevans123 (talk) 15:28, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
