Citation templates in External links
[edit]A few weeks ago, I converted this article's usage of {{cite web}} in "External links" to plain links, per WP:ELCITE and Wikipedia talk:External links/Archive 40#RFC on how to format external links: [1]. Recently, that was undone (and additional {{cite web}} added): [2] [3]. Is there a particular reason to format them this way in this article, despite WP:ELCITE's prescription not to?
