Retention vs retardation
[edit]Both names - retention factor and retardation factor - are acceptable, but this may cause some confusion as retardation/retention factor are used in paper/thin layer chromatography while what is known as a retention time is used in high performance liquid chromatography,gas-liquid chromatography, etc. I think it would probably better to have the retardation/retention factor under one name only. Hence, I have integrated some of the information from this article to new page - Retardation factor.
This article should probably be deleted and a page be created for retention time. Any ideas?
