[edit]Can't we get some references in here? I'd like to see some of these operators and papers talking about it. 129.7.56.177 03:40, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
"quantum states as differential forms"...
[edit]Um, as the current article stands, no they are not. These simply write the volume differential in differential form notation. It would be nice to know what this topic is. I'll look for papers at some point. M∧Ŝc2ħεИτlk 15:04, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
Provost-Vallee metric and Berry curvature
[edit]There is also another context in which the term "quantum geometry" is often used, originated from a study by Provost and Vallee. They showed that if one expresses a distance of quantum states in a parameter space, the quantum geometric tensor expressing that distance consists of a metric tensor (known as the Provost-Vallee metric) and the Berry curvature. Their derivation was general, but recently there has been a lot of interest in applying these geometrical quantities to characterize response functions of condensed matter systems. - That is indeed a notable topic. It should have its own article, perhaps Quantum geometry (condensed matter), or with some other parenthetical disambiguator. Jähmefyysikko (talk) 17:07, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
