[edit]Text that was removed would probably be better and more useful to people under a heading like "Anglican communion service" or "lay communion" or "communion of the sick." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amherst5282 (talk • contribs) 04:44, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
Usage
[edit]The Usage section here had a paragraph about the "flat, circular container...used for the exposition of the host", and claiming that pyx is "the standard term used in the Catholic Church for this". I've removed it, as it is incorrect; the object referred to is a lunette, and the term "pyx" is confined to the vessel used for transporting the host outside the church, or to store it. I trust everyone is OK with that. Moonraker12 (talk) 03:29, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Moonraker12 Unfortunately pyx is indeed "the standard term used in the Catholic Church for this". See Talk:Lunette (liturgy) Reing (talk) 00:29, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
